Change isn’t something we can always see coming.
It snuck up on us rapidly,
Sometimes it can be gracious, even silent.
Mostly, I find it to be abrupt, harsh and unforgiving.
I was yet again reminded of the cloud destruction it bestows upon me
Change didn’t find it necessary to alert me to its presence,
Leaving a path of destruction.
Tearing its way towards me.
Racing at a fearful speed.
It caught me. Freezing me in time.
Without answer, nor justification.
In just the blink of an eye.
It disappeared as quickly as it found me.
As always, i was left behind to pick up the pieces.

The Music In my Heart

It will always change my day.
Sometimes it's a defining moment,
Sometimes it's a subtle whisper,
But on that rare day it finds me, captivates me, it always changes everything.
It somehow finds a way to speak to me, to inspire me, to motivate and give me hope when i thought all could be lost. I can leave everything behind me, and in a single moment, it always seems to brief, cherished yes, but in that moment when the music finds me. I can feel at peace and energised at the same. It can turn my world upside down and inside out. It moves me, it makes me strive to be a better artist, to be me and nothing less.
